Trish, based in Calgary, helps organizations manage their financial and people risks through their retirement savings programs. As a result of mergers and acquisitions in the Calgary market, she has recently been involved in numerous retirement program harmonization projects with a focus on designing retirement savings programs that are valued by employees while meeting the business needs and objectives of the organization.
OVERVIEW
Saving for retirement may not be a new topic - especially at this time of the year when we are bombarded by information about RRSPs - but it is important that organizations understand how financial stress impacts their workforce. Employees struggle to save more while access to credit is easier than ever. 45% of employees say that financial stress is a regular part of their lives – higher than any other type of stress! Many employees don't even know where to start.
In this session, we will explore why this matters to your organization, what employees want in terms of financial support and what employers can do to reduce their employees’ financial stress and increase productivity. We will present emerging trends, supported by research and experience with organizations across North America.
